EasyWEEE was established in early 2006 by an established recycling group Lampcare (UK) Recycling and our parent company City Electrical Factors. The overall group has an annual turnover of well in excess of 1 billion pounds and the decision to enter the WEEE market came as a result of their own liability on manufacturing WEEE related products. With 52 manufacturing companies fully owned by the group there were great doubts and concerns on the level of cover and support that these companies would receive from the many different choices of compliance schemes being offered across the UK. It appeared that some schemes were further ahead than others but many didn't have the national coverage to support a genuine multi site operator where a national standard of service was required. Others it appeared simply offered a collection service but didn't have any transport in place to run the scheme. Most importantly we never saw any evidence during our investigations where we found a set up with a national coverage of LCF's (Local Collection Facility), with a national coverage of transport and the ownership of an AATF (Approved Authorised Treatment Facility). All of these problems were further hindered with the delays in the implementation of the WEEE directive into UK law, however with the much confusion and uncertainty, our team saw an opportunity to protect and assist our manufacturing colleagues and most importantly to bring about a service to the UK market that seemed almost impossible to find. The service would provide LCF's (Local Collection Facility) in almost every major town, a national guaranteed collection program to every mainland post code and the most exciting opportunity of all was to have all of the UK waste transported to a major one stop recycling facility in central UK where everything in the directive could be collected, then fully recycled and nothing going to landfill. This would mean that the client could use containers on their own site for EEE (Electrical & Electronic Equipment) Waste, or they could simply order a collection without any containers or if they preferred they could drive into town and drop it off. We believe we are the only company who can and possibly who will ever offer this service in the UK. The implementation of this all encompassing service in 2006 complemented by a market leading fully established lamp recycling network was warmly received even as early as the idea stage by one of the most prestigious client databases you could find anywhere in UK industry. All 400 LCF's are ours and are fully owned by us. The containers are ours, the recycling centre is ours and we don't need to employ third party companies to make our scheme work. We invest heavily and then bring the service to your door. It really is that easy..and it's rightfully called easyWEEE. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
